Blue-Green Algae Risk Information for Pet Owners

Some of you may have heard last week about the dog deaths in Austin, Texas, caused by toxic blue-green algae in that city’s popular Lady Bird Lake. Since then, there have been news reports of three dog deaths in North Carolina due to blue-green algae (the dogs had all cooled off in a pond) and a suspected death in Georgia (the dog had played in a lake).
